This template is 960px wide, good for a 1024px monitor resolution. In monitor with resolution over 1024px the content is centered. The code is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict.
The paragraphs are not separated by blank spaces but with the indentation of first line like a book. If you want a paragraph without indentation there is a .noindent class, just like LaTeX typesetting system. To better resemble printed books, the text is justified. These rules are applied only in the main content.
Text and line height are dimensioned to a vertical rythm including headings, lists and tables.
There is a print stilesheet for printing the page. It hides the ribbon and aux columns and left visible only the main page.

This template was designed for a hosting service provider, but it never goes live (hi Chris!). So I have this layout landing around, orphan, and I decide to release it to the community. The source is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict tested with Internet Explorer 6, Opera 9.23 and Firefox 2.
The template is the first public implementation of the microCSS framework.

This template is coded in XHTML 1.0 Strict. The name Cardinal is inspired by the color scheme. It’s kinda serious looking. Note that the <h1> heading is in the top of page content and not in the header!
